COSTS RELATED WITH HEADACHE IN SLOVENIA AND POSSIBILITIES OF NEW APPROACH FOR HEDACHE MANAGEMENT

Abstract

Headache is one of the prevalent neurologic diseases in Slovenia. The disease which is very heterogenic means hight society burden. Costs related to headache are among the highest in RS Slovenia. Most of the costs are indirect in direct relating to no treatment expenses. Headache centers are active in some European countries and United States and show high efficiency with high satisfaction of patients and costs lowering effect. European model of integrated approach in collaboration with government and headache centers was improved outcome and lowered costs.
