Abstract

Background The morbidity and mortality of children with congenital heart anomalies is lower in those where the anomaly was detected already during the pregnancy. The number of prenatal detected heart anomalies is still lower as it could be. Methods This article presents how could a combined use of STIC and TUI ultrasound examinations improve the reliability of the evaluation of the fetal heart. Conclusions With an adequate and consecutive use of the STIC and TUI ultrasound examination we can simultaneously present four diagnostically important scans of the fetal heart.
